Spain by Train
2/15/2009
The 500km commuters arrive in plenty of time for AM meetings, avoiding the hassle of security checks or having to arrive at least an hour early for departure and possibly waiting for luggage on arrival. Although in travel time alone the train takes longer, once you add up all the time waiting around at airports it’s actually about the same - not to mention the added bonus of having a view!
Spain now has the largest network of high speed rail in all of Europe, travelling through fascinating areas that you would miss from the air. So we encourage all our guests who travel to Spain and need to connect from Madrid or Barcelona to a smaller city to check the train options first at www.renfe.es
