Trip Itinerary
Day 1
Sintra
AM transfer from Lisbon to beautiful Sintra, and your glorious accommodation at a 17th C palace. The hills of Sintra are one of Europe’s most beautiful areas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It sits like a green jewel in the hills west of Lisbon in its own, verdant microclimate. Loop Ride In the afternoon to explore Sintra from a different angle arriving just in time for a little afternoon tea.
Day 2
Sintra to Cascais - Hike
We head out on a Historic tram through the valley of Sintra to begin our walk to continental Europe’s most western point. We hike south following the wild coastline, and turning inland we pass an unexpected site – vines, in one of the oldest demarcated regions in Europe. From the dramatic cape Roca we head to our unforgettable accommodation in a restored convent from the 11th C.
Day 3
Cascais to Lisbon
Back on our bikes, we loop through the Sintra National Park to a small convent perched over the Atlantic and head down the coast to the vibrant seaside town of Cascais. Following a seaside lunch, we'll ride the coastal train to Lisbon where we’ll sample the world famous Belem custard tarts before a short shuttle to our very central boutique hotel. We'll round off the day with a soulful Fado dinner.
